Morning,
If you're reading this then welcome to my Blog, If you're not reading this...then pay attention boy!
Of course there is a reason for this blog which I shall explain, along with a little about me and of course, why I've decided to start blogging (or as I call it, talking to myself).
I started an office job a little over a year ago and this inspired me to start keeping fit and exercising in the evenings after being sat on my arse all day pumping finger iron on the keyboard. Over the past year I have discovered many new passions in the form of health and fitness and more recently, adrenaline sports.
One of my ultimate goals is to complete an Ironman triathlon. So far, this years agenda includes the London Triathlon, several sprint Triathlons and some off road Duathlons. Being my first year competing in these events, I'm not particularly adept to good timings or strict training, but it's coming along.
Now, the reason for this blog. I once read in a fitness magazines about the relationship between diet and training. Apparently, back in the day the assumption for good results in any sport was the emphasis on 80% Training and 20% diet. Now as 'they' tend to do so often, the reverse is apparent. So I have decided to supplement my training with a new diet. The Caveman Diet. Also known as The Paleolithic Diet.
This blog will include my before and after photo, measurements and daily / weekly updates on how things are going and more information about the diet / training. I will also be scrapping the formalities of the gym for the tame wilderness of The Lincolnshire Wolds, exercising as our long term ancestors would've once done.
My Bible for this experiment is the website www.cavemanpower.com (surprised?)
Any way, I hope this is of interest to you, if not then..well just watch your back for when I start the 'Hunter Gatherer' stages.
POWEERR!!
Paul
